Deleting your data
How to remove what PostMinder holds about you, including anything that came from a network you connected, such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube or Google Business Profile.
Last updated 28 October 2026.
What we hold from Facebook and Instagram
If you connect a Facebook Page, we keep:
- The Page’s name and its ID.
- The username and ID of the Instagram account linked to that Page, if there is one.
- A key that lets us publish to that Page and Instagram account, and nothing else.
- For each post we publish, the reference number Facebook or Instagram gives it, whether it went out, and the reason if it did not.
- How many likes, comments and shares each of those posts has on Facebook or Instagram, read once a day.
While you connect, Facebook shows us the Pages you choose to share. If you share more than one, we hold them, encrypted, for no more than half an hour while you choose which is your business, then keep only the one we post to. The login key Facebook gives us for you personally is used once, while connecting, and never stored.
We do not read or keep your personal profile, your friends, your messages, the comments on your posts, or your followers, and we never see your password.
What we hold from YouTube
If you connect YouTube, we keep:
- Your channel’s name and its ID.
- A key that lets us upload videos to that channel.
- For each video we upload, the reference number YouTube gives it, whether it went out, and the reason if it did not.
To remove it, go to Settings in PostMinder and press Disconnect next to YouTube. We take our access back at Google and delete the key, the channel name and its ID straight away. You can also remove our access in your Google security settings, and we delete what we hold within a day of noticing.
Deleting what we hold does not delete anything on YouTube. Videos we uploaded stay on your channel until you delete them in YouTube.
What we hold from Google Business Profile
If you connect Google Business Profile, we keep:
- Your business profile’s name and its Google reference.
- A key that lets us post updates to that profile.
- For each update we post, the reference number Google gives it, whether it went out, and the reason if it did not.
While you connect, we look at the profiles your Google account manages so we can find yours. We keep only the one we post to.
To remove it, go to Settings in PostMinder and press Disconnect next to Google Business Profile. We take our access back at Google and delete the key, the profile’s name and its reference straight away. You can also remove our access in your Google security settings. We can then no longer post for you, but the key stays in our records until you press Disconnect or ask us to delete your account.
Deleting what we hold does not delete anything on Google. Updates we posted stay on your business profile until you delete them on Google.
What we hold from TikTok, LinkedIn and X
If you connect TikTok, LinkedIn or X, we keep the account’s name and ID, a key that lets us post what you approve and nothing else, and for each post we publish, its reference number, whether it went out, and the reason if it did not.
Disconnect it in Settings, then Posting, and everything we hold for it is deleted straight away. Posts already published stay on your account until you delete them there.
Remove the Facebook and Instagram connection
In PostMinder, go to Settings, find Posting to Facebook and Instagram, and press Disconnect. The key is deleted straight away, for Facebook and Instagram together, and we can no longer post for you.
To withdraw the permission on Facebook’s side as well, open Facebook, go to Settings and privacy, then Settings, then Business integrations, and remove PostMinder.
Posts we have already published stay on your Page and your Instagram account. They are yours, and you can delete them there.
Delete everything
To delete your whole account, sign in and go to Settings, then Account, then Delete my account. Or email support@postminder.co.uk from the address you signed up with and ask us to delete it.
Everything goes: your business profile, every piece of content, every photograph, every connection to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Google Business Profile, X or anywhere else, and the record of every post we published. It goes from the live service straight away, and from our backups within 60 days. Deletion is permanent.
One thing stays after deletion: records of payments, invoices and refunds, which UK tax law requires us to keep for six years after the end of the financial year they relate to. They hold your name, email address, billing address, what you paid and when, never your full card number, and nothing else from your account.
Deleting it yourself happens straight away. If you email us, we delete it within 7 days of your request. The privacy page explains everything else we hold and why.
